A Pilgrimage of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad Participates in Divine Services in Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra



A delegation of hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, on a pilgrimage to the holy sites of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, participated in festive divine services on the Sunday of the Wayward Son and the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia at Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra in Ukraine.

All-night vigil on Saturday and Divine Liturgy on Sunday were led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, along with: His Eminence Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl, the Prior of the monastery; His Eminence Metropolitan Antony of Borispol and Brovarsk, Administrator of the UOC; hierarchs of the Russian Church Abroad: His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle, Vicar of the Western American Diocese; His Grace Bishop George of Mayfiled and His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, both Vicars of the Eastern American Diocese; and His Grace Bishop Nikodim of Severodonetsk and Starobelsk along with the Lavra’s brethren in the priestly rank.

After the Gospel reading, His Beatitude read a sermon, and Bishop George ordained new deacon. Metropolitan Onouphry then congratulated the archpastors, clergymen, brethren and other worshipers.
