Prayer Service in Memory of Nicholas II Visit to Vladivostok





Bishop Innocent of Ussuria, vicar of the Vladivostok diocese, led on May 25 with the blessing of Metropolitan of Vladivostok and Primorsky Vladimir, a service of a public prayer at the Triumphal Arch of Tsarevich Nicholas. The prayer service was performed on the occasion of the 128th anniversary of a visit by the Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich to the South Ussuri region. In 1891, on May 25, the future Sovereign Nicholas II descended to the shore of the Golden Horn Bay - in a place where grateful descendants then installed the Nikolaev arch (triumphal gate).
