The opening of a memorial plaque took place in Omsk on May 19, 2019, in honor of the birthday of Russian Tsar Nicholas II (151 year), the Committee for the Tsar's Days on Omsk Land , Комитетом по проведению Царских дней, with the assistance of the Omsk Metropolis and the public organization “Father’s House”, was solemnly decorated and consecrated at the Cathedral of the Assumption, a commemorative plaque on the foundation of the church in 1891 by the future Emperor of Russia, Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov.
The people started singing “God of the Tsar of God,” and the concert began, which was appreciated by all those present. The collective of the Cossack theater "White Capital", was represented. Among the invited guests were pupils of the city’s schools, wards of the orphanage No. 4, pupils of the Sunday school of the Church of St. John the Baptist, students of the Cadet Corps, Cossacks of the Council of Atamans of the Cossack People.
Under Soviet rule, in 1935, the Cathedral was blown up and a memorial plaque was destroyed.
The organizers of the event, the Organizing Committee for the Tsar's Days on Omsk Land and the public organization “Father's House”, thanks the staff of the NGO “Mir” and personally Alexander Nikolayevich Belyaev, the Omsk branch of the All-Russian “Dvuhglaviy Oryol” Movement, private donors, the public organization “Family Hearth”, and all the activists who helped organize and conduct the event.
